We Need Your Help
|
|
Habitat
is a grass-roots movement through which individuals and organizations
give time, talents, and resources to help inadequately sheltered
families. Each Habitat affiliate is responsible for its own fund-raising,
publicity, volunteer recruitment, and staffing.

us at our next Board meeting. This
is a great way to see how we work and meet the officers and board
of directors. We'd love to see you there! For further details,

and its goals. They are offered the first Wednesday and the third
Tuesday of the month, 7:00 pm, at the Housatonic Habitat office.

Wish List
|
|
Land is
hard to find in upper Fairfield County. If you know of available,
affordable land (or derelict property that can be renovated),
we would like to hear about it! Every lead helps in our quest
to work in partnership with people to build homes for the inadequately
sheltered, creating self-reliant families and enriched communities.
Please contact Executive Director Chris Brown at 203-744-1340.
Outgoing
people needed to assist with volunteer coordination. If
you have the gift for gab and would like to volunteer in this
crucial area, please contact Executive Director Chris Brown
via
or 203-744-1340. With a dedicated group of 4-5 volunteer coordinators, each
volunteer would be asked to work 4 hours per week.
Quilters
unite! If you know someone who enjoys quilting, please
tell them about Housatonic Habitat's volunteer opportunities.
We need quilters who can design and sew honorary quilts, which
are presented to new homeowners upon completion of their new
homes. It's our tradition to present the quilts during a formal
dedication ceremony. For more information, please contact the
Habitat office at 203-744-1340.
